The European Street Food Festival Tour
I´ve always loved street food, but since i saw the movie Chef even more. It is about a chef (daaah) that challenges his creativity and gives up this prestigious restaurant to run a food truck. If you haven´t seen it yet, please do, but only while eating good food, otherwise you´ll have serious cravings ;)
So, street food seems to be having a bit of a moment and the trend also arrived to Austria. This last weekend began the European Street Food Festival Tour 2016 where around 100 food trucks, cooks and exhibitors from all over the world will treat you with the best they have. The festival will be hosted in 10 more Austrian cities until the 24 of April. Find out where and when here ;)
The first stop from the tour was in Vienna, at the Vösendorf- Eventpyramide, a closed space. It might sound strange for a street food festival, but it is quite important for a country like Austria where it rains pretty often. That´s why all the other locations are also roofed over. And for those who easily get tired, there are also lots of tables where you can eat more comfortable. (admission fee: 3 Euros)
My favorite stands were the Spanish, Mexican, Israeli, Vegan and The Burger Bus Truck, Strudel, Pancakes and Waffles. But if you try the last one, you must know there are more, i´d choose the one with yogurt and fresh berries.
And because talking about food without any images has no point al all, i´ll leave you with some pictures i took yesterday in between eating and a short video/vlog husband made.
Enjoy! ;)
